FaceTite Q & A

What is FaceTite?

FaceTite is a nonsurgical face-lift alternative that uses radiofrequency energy to improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, crow’s-feet, and sagging skin.

This safe, effective, and FDA-approved treatment effectively combats common signs of the natural aging process, without the need for extensive downtime, sutures, or other negative side effects.

If you’ve tried various antiaging creams and lotions without any significant improvement in your skin’s texture or appearance, FaceTite may be the treatment option you’re looking for.

What cosmetic issues can FaceTite correct?

At The Pacific Coast Center for Oral, Facial & Cosmetic Surgery, the team uses FaceTite to address several different problems, including:

  • Sagging jowls
  • Sagging neck skin
  • Wrinkles
  • Fine lines
  • Submental fullness (double chin)
  • Marionette lines around the mouth

You might also benefit from FaceTite treatment if you’ve noticed a decrease in the production of collagen or elastin, two naturally occurring proteins responsible for keeping your skin smooth, supple, and blemish-free.

What happens during FaceTite treatment?

The team at The Pacific Coast Center for Oral, Facial & Cosmetic Surgery conducts FaceTite treatment using local anesthesia and sedation. This ensures you’re comfortable and experience no pain.

Once your anesthesia sets in, your surgeon makes a small incision in your skin at the edge of your jaw, just below your ear. Next, your surgeon inserts a thin probe that transfers radiofrequency energy to the underlying tissues in your face.

After inserting the probe, your surgeon places an electrode on your external skin. The probe and electrode work together, creating a thermal field that works to improve the physical appearance, texture, and overall condition of your skin.

Your surgeon slowly moves these devices along your jawline, liquefying excess fat and encouraging the production of new collagen and elastin. The whole treatment process usually takes no more than an hour.

Following FaceTite treatment, what’s the recovery process like?

Following FaceTite treatment, you can return home right away. However, the team at The Pacific Coast Center for Oral, Facial & Cosmetic Surgery recommends you take at least 3-5 days off of work or school.

In the days after your procedure, it’s perfectly normal to experience some pain, bruising, and general discomfort. Wear your compression bandages as instructed and take it easy. Most swelling should subside within 48 hours.
